Home Is Where the Stress Is
When the home office opportunity came your way, you quit your day job and settled into everyone's living dream of working in your slippers all day. We have heard the stories of people having conference calls in their pajamas. While that is true, there are also the home office professionals who went back into the workplace because--for one reason or another--they just couldn't perform as well, and maybe even felt that they weren't accomplishing anything of substance.
So what happens when you finally get your dream job and work from home and it just isn't living up to your expectations? You are feeling just as stressed, overly tired and your goals just never seem to get accomplished no matter how many hours you work each day. Does that mean you are a failure? Because you aren't successful right off the bat in your home office, do you need to hear that 9-to-5 bell ring every day and get a bosses pat on the back? I highly doubt it. People can fall into a couple of traps when left to their own devices, and very rarely does it have to do with a lack of drive or determination. In fact, more often than not, it has to do with too much hard work and determination.
