From the beginning, our editorial mission has been straightforward: to bring a fresh, realistic perspective to the art and science of project management.

As the editor of Projects@Work the past three years, my biggest reward has been the positive feedback the magazine received from the project management community. So many of you have said the magazine’s focus on the real-world challenges of managing projects is what you needed, and we delivered.

 

From the beginning, our editorial mission has been straightforward: to bring a fresh perspective to the art and science of project management. We emphasize the practical (Methods & Means) over the theoretical, teams (Team Talk) over textbooks. And we do it by insisting on in-depth reporting and compelling writing, while also inviting a diverse range of voices (Opinion) to be heard.

 

But in executing this editorial mission, there has been frustration as well. As a bimonthly print magazine, our issue frequency and page counts limited us.  We constantly had to make difficult choices each issue. Many good articles had to be cut or postponed; deserving columnists were alternated instead of featured regularly; and topics worthy of immediate follow-up had to wait their turn.

 

Well, as you can see, that's all changed. Beginning this month, Projects@Work is an online magazine, allowing us to feature …
