Data Security: Take It Seriously

In this day and age, security is something we all think a great deal about. Concerns about security are everywhere--from terrorist attacks to viruses. Vulnerabilities in Microsoft software occur constantly and e-mail viruses continue to proliferate rapidly. While we haven't seen the Big Bad One yet, there is undoubtedly a massive, malicious virus attack in our future.

 

While we pay close attention to external intruders, we assume that we are safe within the walls of our Intranet. However, as history can serve as a precedent for many great examples, remember the story of the Trojan horse and how it snuck into the safe walls of a kingdom and unleashed an enemy from within. This story should remind us that we should take nothing for granted and take key precautions to prevent attacks from within.

 

Business intelligence systems have become key information technology assets for many businesses. They contain a wealth of knowledge about customers, products and aspects of the organization. We have attempted to assimilate as much information as possible into these knowledge stores. We strive to provide robust functionality to analyze this detail and understand the dynamics of the corporation. Business intelligence has undoubtedly brought tremendous value to our organizations.
