Making Change
In every manager's life, there will come a time where you will leave the project. Sometimes, it is a promotion from one project to another. Other times, it may be a departure from one company to join another. These changes present great opportunities for growth and development for you and for others.
However, making a smooth transition from one opportunity to the next takes planning and skill. There may also be a certain amount of uncertainty involved as you jump from an environment you know well into the unknown.
When making a move, treat it as though it is a small project. Plan yourself for a period of time before the change and for a period of time after the move. Know the risks and plan for dealing with them. Here are some points to consider when making your change.

As a project manager, you have many responsibilities to consider. You have a team that looks up to you and follows what you do. You have a customer that you have cultivated to trust and listen to your guidance. And you have managers yourself who have come to rely upon your judgment.
