Where Did The Time Go?
Talking about time at the outset can pay dividends throughout the life of a project. And teams that engage in temporal planning are more likely to stay on schedule and are better prepared to adapt to delays should they emerge, new research shows.
Planning is obviously an important component of successful project teams. Planning involves the "what, who, how and when" associated with a project: What tasks do we need to complete? Who is going to perform them and how? When do we complete these tasks? This last question involves discussions about the relevant temporal issues and constraints surrounding task completion, including determining when certain actions will occur, how long they will take, and other time-related contingencies such as team members’ schedules.
