A comprehensive glossary of standard terms and definitions for project managers is now available from the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA). The CompTIA Project+ Glossary of Project Management Terms contains more than 250 entries of terminology commonly associated with project management tasks.
"Project management has evolved into a pervasive skill that crosses multiple departments and job titles, and today more and more people are being tasked with project management duties," said Neill Hopkins, vice president, skills development, CompTIA. "While no two projects are ever the same and each project has its own unique set of challenges, there is language that is common to successful project management practices. This glossary captures in a single document the words, phrases and terminology commonly used by successful project managers."
