Here's the June 2006 roundup of recently published books recommended by and for project professionals — five titles that address a range of top-of-mind topics, including project sponsorship, software performance measures, leadership versatility and more.

Have your read a book lately that truly changed the way you go about your job in the project management world? One that shed practical or inspirational light on a difficult challenge, helping you sharpen or expand your abilities and evolve as a project leader? It is said that the best learning is “done by doing.” But sometimes, the “doing” can be captured and communicated in a way that saves others from hitting their heads on a wall until it breaks — or they do. Sometimes there are books that contain the directions to show you how to hurdle the wall or go around it.
