Salaries on the Rise
Near and dear to every IT professional’s heart is salary. Virtually everyone wants to know how their wages measure up to the rest of the industry. On the salary front the news is positive, with salaries up across the IT board according to Robert Half Technologies’ (RHT) latest IT salary survey.

According to RHT networking specialists lead the pack at a whopping 19% over last year. IT executives are close behind with a 16% increase, followed by help desk/end user support at 15%.
Overall salaries for IT pros are ranging from $54,000 to $98,250 for senior application developers. Of course when it comes to CIOs the sky’s the limit with 12 CIOs making over $2 million, 21 topping a million and more than 40 exceeding $250,000 according to Baseline’s 2006 CIO Compensation Survey.
