Norton Healthcare Named PMO of the Year

Kentucky-based healthcare provider’s enterprise program management office demonstrated project and portfolio focus; a formalized project management career ladder and methods for prioritization of the projects within the portfolio.

Norton Healthcare’s enterprise program management office has been named the 2007 PMO of the Year winner by the Center for Business Practices (CBP), the research and publications arm of project management consultancy PM Solutions. The award, presented at the CBP Summit in Scottsdale, Ariz., distinguishes a project management office (PMO) for its success and impact within an organization's overall business strategy.
 
Louisville, Kentucky-based Norton Healthcare's EPMO team supports various projects, programs and portfolios throughout its organization, including four hospitals, medical centers and the corporate office. Following a defined methodology, Norton Healthcare's office has implemented projects of all scopes, from human resources to construction.
