When WAH Turns Into Wahhh!

WFH, WAH…pick whatever acronym suits you, but basically it means that something has happened to make you stay home and do your job rather than take your normal commute to work.
 
It’s a very common occurrence for those of us that live in northern areas that get troublesome snow, southern areas that get hurricanes, or any places that get extreme weather problems. Severe conditions that make 30-minute commutes turn into two-hour bumper car sessions and worse are only compounded by other lost-time issues (i.e., cleaning off the driveway/car, securing the house, stocking up on supplies, etc.). And remember, this also means there might be family fallout with kids getting school delays, dismissed early or even having a day off.
 
It’s also a possibility for situations when one has sick family members that need attention. The more members you have, the higher the potential. And yes, some of us may call in ill ourselves but still get up from our sickbed periodically to do some work. And while you or your family members may not need attention, there are those periodic occasions when your furnace, electrical systems, plumbing or other services may require checkups and for you to be there to nurse them.
