The results of the latest Survey Says online poll by ProjectsAtWork show that project leaders and team members value their tools and processes slightly more than their project management offices when it comes to helping them do their jobs. But only about one in five said they couldn’t do their jobs without them.
The February-March 2010 poll found that 40 percent of our readers said that their existing PM tools are “mostly helpful” in helping them do their jobs … 35 percent said they are “sometimes helpful” … and 19 percent said they “couldn’t do it without them.” Only 6 percent said they are a “considerable hindrance.”
When it comes to using their existing processes to manage projects, the results were similar: 38 percent said they were “mostly helpful” and another 38 percent said they were “sometimes helpful,” while 19 percent said they “couldn’t do it without them.” Only 5 percent said they were a “considerable hindrance.”
