Survey Says: Experience and Environment

Do you like your boss? What’s your work environment like? How long have you been involved in managing projects? Do you have a PMP? How does all of this compare to your professional peers?
According to the results of two recent Survey Says online polls by ProjectsAtWork, a majority of project management practitioners say they are generally satisfied with their company workforce policies and procedures, and even more describe their relationships with upper management as good or better.
On an overwhelmingly positive note, 36 percent of respondents said they have a “terrific” relationship with supervisors and another 53 percent described the relationship as “good.” Only 11 percent said the relationship was “tolerable” and, amazingly, no one chose the “unbearable” option. Perhaps they were too distressed to participate.
As for workforce policies and procedures, a solid 69 percent or respondents said they are “appropriate,” while 22 percent said they are “overbearing” and eight percent said they are “too lax.”
