New Agile PPM solution helps accelerate innovation and improve agility as organizations adopt iterative approaches to IT service delivery.

CA Technologies has released CA Portfolio Management for Agile IT, a new cloud-based solution designed to help executives make effective portfolio management decisions and capitalize on rapid innovation using Agile planning practices. The new solution, comprised of CA Clarity On Demand and CA Agile Vision, combines the latest version of CA’s PPM application, with new capabilities for Agile planning in a cloud computing delivery model.

The new solution’s on-demand Agile planning is built on salesforce.com’s enterprise cloud computing platform, which powers hundreds of ISV partner applications and more than 160,000 custom applications used by salesforce.com’s 77,300 customers. Other features include a cloud-based service that offers low up-front costs, rapid deployment, pay-for-use, quick end-user adoption, multi-tenancy and scalability; sprint planning that creates multiple time-based sprints, monitors sprint progress and manages backlog; burn-down velocity charts to improve project forecasting accuracy …
