UC Berkeley Launches Agile Program

New series of courses will offer managers a framework of Agile principles and practices to plan work, engage teams and leverage change.

Many companies in the technology-robust San Francisco Bay Area — including Autodesk, Cisco Systems, Gap Inc., Salesforce.com, and Kaiser Permanente — employ Agile techniques in software projects and often seek managers who can bring an adaptive Agile approach to general management. With that in mind, UC Berkeley Extension has launched The Professional Program in Agile Management, a nww series of courses that will offer managers “a framework of values, principles and practices to plan work, engage teams and leverage change more successfully.”

"As companies face an increasingly volatile business climate, they seek managers with a new range of skills," says Robert Judd, Agile Management program director at UC Berkeley Extension. "Companies want managers who can respond quickly to change, and an Agile framework helps professionals do that more successfully."

The program's courses integrate team projects, learning games and discussion.
