Dell Wins PMO of the Year
With an unprecedented 96 percent project success rate, Dell Services’ Healthcare and Life Sciences team wins the 2011 Project Management Office of the Year award.
PM Solutions and the Project Management Institute’s Program Management Office Community of Practice (PMO CoP) have selected Dell Services’ Healthcare and Life Sciences (HCLS) as the 2011 PMO of the Year. The award, which distinguishes a project management office for its success in developing and maturing an organizational structure that supports the effective management of projects, recognizes Dell Services’ HCLS PMO for its’ project management performance and elite project management team.
Dell’s HCLS PMO boasts a 96-percent project success rate — unprecedented in an industry where 30 to 60 percent of projects routinely fail. According to Dell PMO director Robert Rausch, that success is critical to helping customers realize the benefits of clinical and business improvements. “That’s not just good project management; that’s good business,” Rausch said.
Dell’s Healthcare and Life Sciences PMO team was selected from a field of more than 30 applicants from around the world. Nominees were from Global 2000 firms, government agencies, and major nonprofit organizations. The finalists included:
