Change Management Guide from PMI
A new guide identifies effective change management practices and how practitioners and organizations can apply them in the context of portfolio, program and project management. It is available as a free download for a limited time.
Project Management Institute has announced the publication of “Managing Change in Organizations: A Practice Guide” for practitioners and organizations seeking to implement effective change management practices for their organizations.
The guide is a culmination of 20-plus years of thought leadership in change management, helping project and program managers successfully identify change elements and account for them within a project or program plan, according to PMI. A PDF of the guide is available as a free download for a limited time at www.PMI.org/ChangeManagement.
Projects and programs by their very nature drive change, and more organizations are recognizing the need for clear, powerful strategies that foster the development of effective internal change management capabilities, PMI says. Recent research from PMI shows that effectively managing change contributes significantly to the increased success of projects and programs. For example, PMI’s 2012 “Pulse of the Profession In-Depth Study on Organizational Agility” showed that organizations that are highly effective at change management are 117 percent
