1. How can management concentrate on factors that they cannot control?
Answer:  My emphasis on organizations was to focus on factors that matter and controllable to achieve the desired results in strategic advancement. One of the controllable factors is building organizational competence, which matters the most and therefore needs focus for immediate action.

2. Is there any statistical data on the difference in the % of success in projects in organization that incorporate project KPIs as opposed to those that have only operational KPIs?
Answer: Please refer to PMI Pulse of Profession Reports, which find those organizations with not more than 38% of built competence with PM practices were consistently successful in strategic implementation and the remaining 62% were hardly near their desired goals.

3. Are you suggesting the all strategic initiatives are done in a PMO?
Answer: All PMOs with successful advancement ultimately assume the position of EPMO when working consistently in a bottom-up approach. Therefore with management support, take a top-down approach and establish an EPMO (Enterprise-wide Program …
