1. Is the agile method applicable for telecom infrastructure projects?
Yes, "You can use all of agile sometimes and some of Agile all the time!"

We have several large clients using agile in telecom right now, and many of them use agile for their infrastructure teams as well. Now, to be honest, they are not the first to jump on agile, so some education is needed. Also, we found that using Kanban and/or Scrumban with the infrastructure team is more appropriate for their work.

2. Would you consider escaped defects as a metric more applicable to a more mature organization as opposed to one that is just starting its agile journey?
No, I think this metric should apply even to a new team/organization adopting agile. You have to set the standard from the very beginning that we do measure defects and quality issues that escape and are found by our customers.
