Emotional Intelligence in a Project Environment: Q&A

Decades of researches show that emotional intelligence is key to success. For project managers, with their success being dependent on other people, the constant development of emotional intelligence becomes crucial. Fernando Colleone shared some insight with the ProjectManagement.com community on Emotional Intelligence in a Project Environment. The session was so engaging, we weren’t able to get to the questions! 1. How was "performed better" measured? What did they look at? (When they found that those with average IQ performed better than those with a high IQ) Performed better at PM or at EI testing?
The researches indicated that their performance at work was better. I do not know the measurements about the performance, but when someone performs better at work than others, it’s because this professional has developed some skills that others haven’t. For instance, leadership, communication and also technical skills related to the job.

2. How do you handle people who act as a group against an individual?
