After almost 15 years of wage stagnation, it looks like 2015 is promising to be a great year for those in the IT jobs market. Even though demand is slowing over the 2013/14 pace, there are great opportunities out there as technologies related to cloud computing, cyber security, big data and the Internet of Things are creating new opportunities. Here is an update on what the hot IT jobs are shaping up to be over this and the next few years.

Modis recently published its “2015 Modis Salary Guide for Tech Professionals.” Here are just a few highlights of the job growth it revealed through 2022:

  • Tech jobs are projected to outpace other industries by around 60%
  • Demand for Systems Analysts is projected to grow by 25% with average salaries for level 2 analysts to be around $70,400
  • DBA and BI positions salaries are expected to average about $108,000 a year
  • Entry-level IT PMs are expected to average around $76,000, with Senior PMs averaging about $107,000
  • Demand for software developers is projected to increase about 22%, with average salaries ranging from $60,000 (Application Engineers) to $122,000 (Advanced Application Engineers)
  • IT Security job demand should increase by 37%, with average salaries ranging from $75,000 (Security Administrators) to $115,000 (Systems Security Analysts)
  • Web Developers salaries lead the field with Interface Design Directors …
