The Blood Brain Barrier of a Project Manager

The virus was slowly infiltrating the system. It was a virus known to have an affinity for nerve cells and cause serious damage to brain cells--and life. Under normal conditions, the brain's unique protection would have protected it from such assaults. However, in his case, the potent virus had eroded the armor of safety and surged ahead. This had altered brain's ecosystem and rendered the tissues susceptible to infection. Changing sensorium, fits and loss of consciousness were indicative of a lurking danger and damage to the brain cells

The scene was unfolding in the "war room" (as they called it) with a project manager trying to justify his actions. The atmosphere was abuzz with tension as the management bombarded the PM with questions on the latest client escalations.

One of the managers charged in: "Can you justify why this week's report did not include the details of this issue? Wasn’t the issue critical, according to you?"

The PM was trying to maintain his sanity as he sat in the "trial box." His bloodshot eyes and disheveled look was incongruous to the meeting's decorum: "Yes, it was and has been included. You may refer to the third paragraph on the second page of the weekly status report…"
