SPMI: An Experience Worth Sharing
Modern project management is interdisciplinary. Some of the most fruitful places for learning, practicing, innovating and developing project management are the PMI chapters. My curiosity has opened up for me an opportunity to explore PMI from two perspectives: European, as a member of the Polish Chapter; and Asian, as a member of Singapore Chapter (SPMI)…and this is just a beginning.
Last year, I was delighted to be selected by colleagues from SPMI to join them in the development of the 11th SPMI Regional Symposium and the 2nd SPMI Project of the Year Award 2015. Working with the PMI and SPMI colleagues was a great opportunity to explore both project management best practices and Singapore’s business environment. Furthermore, these experiences have given me the opportunity to learn from some of the best project managers and network with numerous senior-level executives.

My assignments included research, evaluating and proposing potential speakers, coordinating the speakers’ committee and to search and communicate with potential Project of the Year nominees.
