Hot IT Jobs for 2016
Last year, as predicted, the IT job market finally started to heat up. For 2016, the good news is the IT job market is going to be even better—at least for those with the right credentials. And the outlook appears to be strong for at least the next few years. Modis recently published these estimates related to the IT jobs space in its post entitled “Tech Jobs On The Rise”:
- Between 2016 and 2022, there will be about 685,000 new jobs created for IT professionals, which is at a rate around 70% more than other industries.
- One of the biggest growing demand for IT professionals will come from the healthcare industry.
- Salaries will range from the low $60ks for entry-level programmers to an impressive $142k for Data Scientists.
- Security-related IT jobs will grow the fastest at 37%, followed by analyst jobs at 25%.
In her InformationWeek article “10 Best Tech Jobs For 2016,” Dawn Kawamoto identified some of the top jobs in the IT space for 2016:
