The Future Strategy for Your Organization...and You
Stop for just a moment and think about the very first project you were assigned as PM. Now consider just how much has changed since you entered this profession.
Even if you have only a couple years of experience, a substantial amount of change has occurred. What awaits you—and all of us for that matter—is far more dramatic and challenging for this profession and beyond. I am sure most of you have all heard of digital disruption and emerging technologies. The question is, have you internalized the implications and are you preparing for what awaits all of us in the coming years?
Apparently many aren’t, and that could very well be professionally dangerous. If you believe that digital disruption is something that won't happen to you, your profession or your organization, you are more than likely wrong. Are you really willing to accept the risks associated with being wrong?
Some organizations are concerned about the disruption of emerging technologies, but few if any have put a strategy in place that adequately prepares the organization to deal with the issues and opportunities that will accompany this unique area.
