We're now a year into the era of mass artificial intelligence. Open AI's ChatGPT is more than a year old. While promising, adding ChatGPT to your workflow wasn't particularly easy. Several companies like Microsoft and Salesforce are also bringing AI to software. (For example, it's now possible to get near expert-level help in Microsoft Excel, thanks to its new AI features.)

All of these changes directly impact how we do change management. Let's start by looking at scenarios where you are leading an AI-centric project.

Managing AI-centric Projects
The direct impact of AI means we have projects where taking advantage of AI is a specific objective. A few years ago, such projects would have been limited to R&D efforts. Since 2022, that's all started to change. While the transformative impact of AI is exciting, it's important not to get swept away by the hype.

While significant, many of us have experienced significant technological change. Over the past 15 years, think about how mobile devices have changed work and play. To progress in your AI change management efforts, remember the following considerations.
