Do You Exhibit the Traits of a Difference Maker?

Michael R. Wood is a Business Process Improvement & IT Strategist Independent Consultant. He is creator of the business process-improvement methodology called HELIX and founder of The Natural Intelligence Group, a strategy, process improvement and technology consulting company. He is also a CPA, has served as an Adjunct Professor in Pepperdine's Management MBA program, an Associate Professor at California Lutheran University, and on the boards of numerous professional organizations. Ever wonder why some people seem always ready to jump into action, rise to the occasion, and always seem to get the job done? I call these people difference makers. Even if we are oblivious to our impact, the impact is still there. However, making consistently positive differences is a matter of persistent and conscious intent. This means that we enter into situations with the awareness and desire to add value to the outcome we influence. With this mindset in place, the chances of success are increased tenfold.
