Does Employers Have Challenges Finding Project Management Staff?

Sometimes yes. They wait for months to find a resource who should match their defined criteria. Many at times they refrain from giving an opportunity to a new resource because they assume the new resource cannot deliver things as expected. It may not be true.

I doubt there are issues finding staff, the issue is finding effective or competent PM staff. I believe PMI has published a few times that there is definitely a gap given the volume of projects out there, but as usual with such gaps, it might be a result of supply/demand imbalances in certain industries and regions.
