Are the 7 Quality Tools still part of the PMP exam?

With the recent release of the PMBOK v6, the 7 Quality Tools are no longer part of the Plan Quality process. However, does this mean exam participants should not expect to see any Qulity Tool questions on the exam or is it assumed that this might be part of the broader knowledge an experienced PM will reference and therefore be referenced on the exam. Saving Changes...
Hi Bryan. I see them in the Quality KA in the PMBOK v6. The only tool I could not find was the Pareto Diagram. I would expect exam participants to know these 7QC tools. This is what I am telling the students who are preparing for the current version of the PMP Exam. I would rather have them prepared to see them on the exam and the 7QC tools not be on their version of the exam versus not knowing them and they show up on the exam. Saving Changes...
Remember that the PMBOK Guide is just one of many references used when PMP exam questions are written. Just because it's not in the PMBOK Guide doesn't mean a question wouldn't be posed to it if it considered to be in the broader body of knowledge.
A good example of this is the different HR motivational theories - earlier versions of the guide had not reference to these and yet there were questions on the exam related to them.

Thanks Demetrius, i guess its the 6QC Tools now :-) Anyone have any context on why Pareto Diagrams were deprecated? Saving Changes...
Kiron is right, and should know since he also teaches this stuff to students. I would say that if you use the PMBOK, and one of the top books on the PMP exam, in addition to the training that is required also from a reputable provider, it's going to cover what you need to know for the exam. Kiron is absolutely right. I would definitely expect to see them on the exam. Those are very important tools.
I wonder why they are removed but maybe this is a subject of another discussion. Saving Changes...

Hi Bryan , Still you need to be very familiar with these 7 tools . I studied the 6th edition in September 2017 and did the 5th edition exam on Feb 24,2018. I realized that the 7 tools are covered in the 6th edition but not in the same format as the 5th edition. All 7 tools are there in the 6th edition. I guarantee , they will be on the exam Saving Changes...

Thanks, for all the comments. I'll see if I can get some feedback from the PMI on why Pareto Charts were deprecated. I'll post what I learn here. Saving Changes...
