PMI-PBA Exam Education Requirements

For my PMP and PMI-ACP exams, I took boot camp style prep courses in order to fulfill the educational hours needed to sit for the exam. As I am now likely to pursue the PMI-PBA, I got to thinking, "Do I need to really take a prep class?"

In other words, would watching videos on this website related to the topic of business analysis satisfy the educational requirements to sit for the exam or are they only intended for continuing education?

I ask because looking around there just are not many providers offering prep classes for PMI-PBA. So how were people getting the necessary hours to sit for the exam with the limited course offerings?

The PMP prep class should be acceptable to fulfill the educational hours as long as it is within the timeframe.

I did come across:

I didn't for the PMI-ACP. It's really up you and how much you know in the BA arena. Some people just need a top up because they have been doing it for years. Other have not done so much and would benefit from a boot camp.
