in today's world - being technical or having knowledge of the latest technology is very important. And simultaneously if you are a good leader and respect your employees or peers or team members then you can strategise the things, plans or projects.
So technology is my primary strength and leadership comes next.. Saving Changes...
What would be fascinating is to do research where a group of PMs are asked this question, and then key stakeholders they have worked with recently such as sponsor, clients or team members are asked the same question about them!
Yes I would love to be a fly on the wall for that one. Saving Changes...
Sante, what is yours?
I think mostly is the Technical & Leadership
I think Strategy is the weakest due to where we stand right now otherwise we would be Millionaire by now.
Hmm I think Strategy, but others I have worked with would probably say Leadership. Saving Changes...

"Which element of the talent triangle are project managers most overconfident about?"
The answers in priority order (in my experience as a seminar leader) are:
Strategic management, then leadership, then techical project management Saving Changes...

Greg - that's funny but I agree. I admit it... my technical skills are definitely my strength. I'd like to say I'm a leader, but I'm afraid 20 project teams and sponsors would disagree :-). Strategic thinking is way down on my list. Saving Changes...

You all might enjoy the book Alpha Project Managers by Andy Crowe. He did exactly what Kiron suggested - had PM's rate themselves on certain things and then followed up with their teams and sponsors to see how they rated them on the same things. It was a fascinating study. (By the way, he says we most likely overrate our communication skills.) It's from 2006. I'd love to see an updated version as I expect some things have changed in 12 years. Saving Changes...
