The role of stakeholders in project appraisal

Hi, I am looking to undertake a research project on the topic mentioned in the title. Since my time to finish it is limited (3 months), I am looking for a specific case study, to identify the different stakeholders, their criteria and the optimum solution to the problem to satisfy the criteria in the best way. Any suggestions or help?
