I'm looking for any recent research which can provide informed estimates about the number of project managers needed globally or by individual countries. Any signposting will be gratefully received. Many thanks!

Sarah -

PMI has published their own estimates on this a few times in PM Network over the past couple of years - I recycle my copies when I finish reading them so I can't unfortunately give you an exact reference, but if you access the last twelve or so copies, you should find these stats on the infographics pages of each issue.

Good to know. I was wondering where they publish those numbers.

Many thanks, Kiron, for your response. I have unearthed my copy of "Project Management Job Growth and Talent Gap Report 2017-2027" which provides a good view. However, I'm wondering whether there is anything further out there which also provides an informed estimate.

For some reason I'm thinking the Pulse of the Profession series is also a good source of that sort of data...
