I’ve earned all PDUs for PMP-renewal and am 2 months ahead I time. If I’d renew now would the additional 3 years of PMP-credentials start from today or add to the expiery date of my actual tenure?

It would start from you expiry date. I have renewed already and I was not due for renewal until December. So now I am good until December 2021.
You can start collecting PDUs for your new tenure already. For the year before your renewal date, you can collect up to 20 PDUs to be applied to your next renewal.
And you will get a nice new certificate in the mail when you renew.

You're renewal cycle will start from the original expiry date, not the date when you renew so you should be good. I confirm what Dinah mentioned.

I have acquired 60 PDUs within 6 months of successful completion of PMP. Should I renew now itself and I hope the expiry date will move to 2024. Is it correct understanding?

PMI has a good approach and fair one.. I will renew mine as well next month and it will remain valid until 2024.

Sometimes it can be confusing, but it's a logical approach. I am renewed until 2023 :-)

I don't know whether it's worth to pay the renewal fee if your expiry date is over 1 year from now. Even though I earned all the PDU's I will wait for few more months.

Yes, this is correct. It will move to 2024 considering your first cycle expiry date is 2021. I personally acquired the 60 PDU's after 2 months of achieving my credential and renewed it immediately so I can get it off my shoulders for the next 6 years.

Agree with Dinah.
one can renew with just one day remaining for expiration
its ur convenience.
why would one pay 60$ before 2 yrs to go?

Hi Rami -
Now that you have renewed and if you wish to acquire more PDUs are they considered for the second cycle or you would need to wait until the first cycle ends?
