For a Civil Engineer which is the best certification after PMP

For a Civil Engineer PMI-SP or PMI-RMP which certification has more demand in the market

What do you find yourself dealing with the most, Risk or Schedules. I am an RMP fan, so I would say that is would be the better choice. But I will defer to Rami Kaibi who has both.

Looking at statistics there are about 4,600 RMP's out there and 1,800 SP's.

Waseem, I have the same background as yours (Civil & Structural Engineering). If you heavily work in project controls, then both are good assets for you.

If you want to pick one for now then:

- If you are only involved in Planning & Schedueling then SP is a good choice.
- If you are involved in Project Controls as a whole, the RMP is a better choice.
