Hi...My husband and I will be moving to the states this summer. He is a project manager with extensive experience in the UAE,in addition he is PMP/PBA certified and he holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. My question is: What are the requirements for him to work as project manager in the states?thanks Saving Changes...
PMI Chapter meeting could be excellent opportunity to meet professionals.
Recruitment agents.
PMI has a job website and it is USA highly focused.
It is good to be active here (on this site) to meet people who might be able to help.
A work visa I would have thought, but yes job recruitment sites for the State you are moving to.

Aside from a US work visa, there are no special requirements for your husband to work in the States. All he'll need to do is find a job.

Aside from all the proper documentation, begin networking using LinkedIn and getting a feel for what is out there using job boards. And as Kevin states, reach out to the new local Chapter.
Good luck! What area of the USA will you be moving to?

All the best. That location has relatively easy access to several large cities - Baltimore, Washington DC, Philadelphia, even NYC.

My concern that his bachelor degree is from a university outside of the USA,,,That might limit his options with good companies...
should this be a problem??

I wouldn't worry about the Bachelor's degree not being from the US. Over the years I have worked with people from many different countries who got their degree in their country. Plus he has the experience in the field. There are many jobs as consultants in the Baltimore/DC area. Where he may have issues is that many of them require an active security clearance. And many of the companies prefer citizens. If you are finding this limitation and still want to live in that general area, look into Pennsylvania. York, PA is about an hour north of Baltimore. And Timonium, MD is just north of Baltimore.
