PE license sometimes depends on the state. My recommendation is that he can wait I saw some job offers that said "Available to get the PE in 6 months after offer"...

Reem: As far as I am aware, the only impediment he might face is employers asking for local experience. This happened to me when I first came to Canada. For your husband to practice engineering, he need to get through the approval process and obtain his professional engineering license but to practice Project Management, he has enough qualifications issued by PMI so I advise you to have him apply to companies who are international like Morganti and Kellog Brown as those companies value overseas experience. Good Luck !

Thank you all very much for replaying.
My concern that his bachelor degree is from a university outside of the USA,,,That might limit his options with good companies...
should this be a problem??
I wouldn't worry about the Bachelor's degree not being from the US. Over the years I have worked with people from many different countries who got their degree in their country.
Plus he has the experience in the field.
There are many jobs as consultants in the Baltimore/DC area. Where he may have issues is that many of them require an active security clearance. And many of the companies prefer citizens.
If you are finding this limitation and still want to live in that general area, look into Pennsylvania. York, PA is about an hour north of Baltimore. And Timonium, MD is just north of Baltimore.

When I moved here I had problems finding my first job, so I tried volunteering for few months. Anyway it worked well for me.
Good luck and all the best !!

To work in the private sector there are no specific requirements, just have your green card and social security.

Hi Reem, I am also a green card holder located in Fort Worth Tx. I found it to be very challenging to land a job even after a year from the time I got my PMP. Like you, I speak several languages and have extensive International PM experience in healthcare and Pharma but not too many contacts data base like back home. I would recommend to get a job contract first before moving

Reem, here is the North America formula ;- It's Not What You Know, It's Who You Know. So it doesn't matter how much knowledge he has, getting the first entry is a key to success otherwise people spend years in odd jobs here.

I am a US Citizen...and my husband will soon be a green card holder
Thank you sooo much for replaying
All the best. That location has relatively easy access to several large cities - Baltimore, Washington DC, Philadelphia, even NYC.
