Have you look at Knowledge & Tools Books
https://www.projectmanagement.com/books/

There is a small list of book, rating and place for comment.

It would be interesting to build on that have a more complete list feed by the community like the "Techniques Wiki"

A place to search by topics

What do you think? what should be there?

See there is often request for book references on various topics.

It would be nice to easily find comments, evaluation of any book related to Project Management.
Here in the discussion, it is nice but trying to search is nearly impossible.

Don't you think?

What would be your interest in having an extensive book reference?

Where we can post your comments and evaluation.

There are actually 45 books in the section, that you can put a comment and an evaluation.

Are these the 45 best books?

Vincent, I think this is a great idea.
You're right, it's difficult to search within this discussion board.
And if there is already a place on the site for this type of information, that's a great start.

Thanks, John,

Seem this discussion didn't generate much interest.

I would love to build on that section, use it to see the new books on project management with feedback from other members here at Projectmanagement.com

I took a look to the references, agree that there are only a few and there are tons of very interesting books for this community.

Not sure how it works nowadays to have a book in the list, maybe are only the books that the community members discuss in the book club.

Having the possibility to edit as the WIKI works from my point of view has following advantages:

- Increase the number of references
- Increase the number of participants and opinions

However...

How the admins of the site will avoid self-promotion? Maybe only sending a request to post a book reference instead of working as WIKI

Thoughts?
