Udemy course

Has anyone used this course or is using this course for their CAPM?

https://www.udemy.com/capm-pmbok6/

The instructor gives off the impression that this material is all you need to understand and be prepared for the exam aside from the PMBOK guide itself.

Would I need other resources or is a course like this broken down to teach exactly what I need to pass? I see there's a bunch of resources with the course, maybe that has to do with flash cards or quizzes ?

Udemy courses are pretty good. If the course is registered with PMI and has the authorized number of training hours / PDU's assigned, then it is enough along with the PMBOK And simulation exams to pass.
I agree with Sante about udemy, but if you have the capability to go for intensive course 4-5 days then go for it.

This instructor to the listed course does provided accredited PDUs with PMI so I guess it's safe to say the course + the PMBOK guide for reference is all one really needs.

Practice exams will be a necessary tool to test your understanding.

Watch lectures over and over, take some notes, and use the PMBOK for further referencing. Should be sufficient for passing.
Some training videos, and even in person training, can be up in the air. They may not cover something, They may accidentally give you the wrong information.

My suggestion is to find two different training sources (could be two Udemy courses by two different people and go over them).

I am studying for my PMI-ACP test I take in about a week, and I know the Udemy video I bought got MoSCoW prioritization wrong because I have worked with DSDM and took training to pass the AgilePM certification. I also purchased a course from a different company for study on the PMI-ACP exam, Master of Project Academy, that got MoSCoW right. The trick is, figuring out which one is right and which is wrong if you don't already know the answer. Google can help with that.

Don't put all your eggs in one basket for the training. The mistakes could be simple and accidental, it could be overlooked information, and relying on only one source could cause you to get answers wrong. People make mistakes, even the instructors of these classes.

An additional advantage - the different styles of the instructors can make watching the videos bearable if you are going over the same material twice.

I took a Udemy class for my RMP and while the information it gave me was good, it was not complete. I also purchased a class from Simplilearn and 2 books and took several practice exams. The practice exams I got with my Simplilearn class we're not very good (some of the questions where inconsistent) I also like to use a variety of sources when studying. Even if you do not take another class, I would suggest you get a good prep book and find practice tests from different sources.

I found the same thing Dinah, their courses are pretty good, but their exams aren't great.

I purchased this instructors class for my PMP studies (very helpful). Good Luck
I agree with above said however, I consider Udemy is a good cheap source for getting additional PDU and basic knowledge, as far as the exam prep. It is vital to spend more money on more intensive courses like Kevin mentioned that
Udemy classes are a complete waste of time in my opinion. I've taken four courses, and I've been severely disappointed with all of them. I won't take another one. You get what you pay for.
