Warrante &Garrantee?

Dear all,
Can anyone let me know the deference between Warranty and Guarantee ?
Appreciate your feedback .

Shaban, these are dictionaries. I try and avoid defining words that are readily available in online dictionaries. We could be doing that dance all day :-)

A warranty provides coverage for a variety of defined conditions over a defined period of time whereas a Guarantee commits to meeting a specific quality or service level.

For example, our company could guarantee that there will be no Sev 1 or Sev 2 defects in our product - if we violate that, we could be sued. Alternately, we could avoid making such guarantees, but provide a time-boxed warranty period during which Sev 1 and Sev 2 defects will be resolved at no charge.
