Without a doubt, learning how to grow and utilize influence. Learning DISC profiles and being able to communicate in a way that we are influencing the outcomes. The greatest aspect of successful project management is the relationship between the PM and the Sponsor. Learning how to influence without power is what really began to drive my career.

Hello Sandeep: The key qualities that have helped me move up the ladder in my career are optimism, organization skills/PM skills, flexibility, excellent written and verbal communication, listening, experience and being genuine in my interactions with others. These things are noticed, valued and appreciated in my work environment by leadership and many opportunities have opened for me because of them.

Great question, Sandeep.
A combination of factors including several already mentioned here: Diligence, Confidence, Flexibility to Adapt, Communication, Networking, Empathy, and so on.
If you pushed me to mention just one, that would be LEADERSHIP, which includes many of the those traits.
As Robin Sharma rightly stresses in his many leadership books, you don't need a title to be an excellent leader!
