Active member's photo on the side does it mean that you are signed in & available on line?

No I doubt it, the active members list that appears on the side banner is just who is active, the term is a little misleading. As far as I know there is no way to know that someone is "live" on the system.

It works very well, every time I have been active around the site posting and commenting I can see my lovely picture

Kevin, thanks for reply it is true every time you log in you see your lovely photo grouped with most people you answered or they answered you. so like Sante said it is not proven that you can see if on line live or just a reel running

I did not think that referenced who was online at this time. Just who has posted recently.

Sante, Thanks for your feedback, I thought so too because sometime at 2 am I logged in then after awhile rotation starts and the software knows who is chatting most of the time so they grouped those Gurus so when I saw Rami and you Sante, Kevin grouped with my photo I know your time zone 14 hours ahead of mine so I would think so but when I saw Rami I think he is sleeping at our time so I also doubt it it is live.

I agree with Sante on this. My understanding is that "Active" means you just posted a blog or responded to a discussion.

Dinah, thank you for your continuous support I agree with you we all doubt it as live but I wonder if I don't logged in and my post still running dose that mean that the same reel of grouped photos will continue rotate and at what rate rotate, I know once you login your registered IP # will kicked in and shortly you will see your photo even if you don't post. this is part of machine learning it draw pattern of your activities to understand you better for next time same as with search engine tracking cookies to bring advertisements next time based on your search.

I believe it is based on your recent session, logging in new or reviving an existing one.

Andrew, I am glad that you replied to this question what I have observed once you reach certain level of influence and you are frequent visitor it doesn't have to post recent post but you have acted in the beginning of the week for example so you still be considered as active even if you don't post at the end of the week your photo on the reel will still show up until your gap of posting widen then the rotation of the reel get longer for you until completely dropped if you prolong your cycle of participation, I hope this analogy make sense to all of us here.
