I'm currently building a set of ideas/concepts for a thesis project to finish my masters degree in project management. My thesis mission is to solve a project management related problem, and I want to reach out to the community for assistance in formulating a sound idea.
My one idea is this: Can strategically aligned projects through a PMO process increase project success and connectivity to the financial’s mission?

I appreciate any and all assessments.

A PMO can certainly facilitate this, but the focus should be on establishing a lean project governance model based on some basic, good principles of project portfolio management.

PMOs are just one way to achieve that end and aren't always the best solution...
