Hi everybody, I realize this is probably not the best way to go about this, but I live in a very remote area (3 hour drive to the nearest chapter), where I have not access to any active project managers.

I don´t see the payment as a tricky part. In Business Coaching it is already usual to offer virtual coaching sessions. Of course, these sessions have to be paid as any other professional service. Why should virtual project management coaching or mentoring be free?
Successful professionals are very busy and many of them don´t have much time for mentoring activities. If a high-skilled and very experienced professional will give up some family-time to support me, I will pay for this time.

Not wanting to hijack the thread, I won't go into too much detail, but my thought was:
1. Charge a reasonable month-by-month or annual subscription amount to mentees
2. Add advertising revenue from appropriate companies (e.g. PM training, products) as site traffic increases
I've also toyed with the idea of passing along some of the profits to the mentors - the challenge will be to not turn this into an "if-then" financial reward system (as per Daniel Pink's Drive), to avoid turning off mentors who view this as a strictly voluntary service.
Stay tuned - I'd love to turn this idea into reality sometime soon!

So, despite this not being at all what I'm posting about, here (and my desperate need to fulfill this mentor need asap) I have an idea for monetization.
Mentors charge a fee, which the protege pays. Website takes a percentage.
That's it. Pretty simple, but I think it leads to a situation where everybody is happy. I'm also pretty sure this type of situation is the standard for "connection" or "facilitator" organizations.
