Hi all I recently got a call from a very reputed MNC.
After reviewing my linkedin profile the company HR called me and said we have a position "Senior Project Supervisor" role in our company at two different locations and will you be interested for the same.
I responded to the mail and we had a phone conversation for 15 minutes, they said i am right fit candidate for that role and would like to do a face to face meeting this week also the salary expectations matched their criteria.
Yesterday i received an email saying that "Thank You for your interest and this time we are pursing with other candidates....."
My question is that do the vacancy exist in real or do they want to do some research about the market conditions or do this HR persons conduct this for some audit purpose? Saving Changes...
They had a ready one in mind and they just used you for formalities. I cannot say it better unfortuniatly. Saving Changes...

Could be they had someone internal who got a last minute "push" - or they just wanted to get some benchmark numbers from the free market. Or something completely different - it it is a big MNC their needs could change rapidly; what was an open position yesterday might be a whole discontinued business line the tomorrow...
Most of the recruiters that stole my time for calls and emails etc.. I never heard of again. Only the real good ones still manage to stay in contact; keep them in your contact list - get rid of the others. And: Don´t take it personal. :) Saving Changes...
