I recently began a PM position in the RAID storage industry. My main roles are to implement various internal processes (because there are none) as well as align ours with our partners' processes. I will also be responsible for Pre and post sales support on various customer projects. We are also in the midst of creating a PMO within the organization. Here are a few of my thoughts. 1)Don't let all the new stuff intimidate you.. remember nothing is difficult there is merely the unfamiliar. 2)Identify the key players and workflows that need to be formalized and bring them together into a single room and collectively develop solutions (see attached file). 3)Be the facilitator of the improvements not the author.
