I am pondering over a lot to find out the scope of Artificial Intelligence in Project Management , How it can help us deliver better results or manage the work in better way.

Great question, AI: Learning from machines or computers contrast NI (Natural Intelligence) which results from humans. Now applying AI to PM will automate the daily management tasks efficiently and consequently many people included you and me be could be without job in the near future :)

Nice comment . I beg to differ here. Your point regarding the automation of daly task is valid, but the real reason why we are doing this automation , not to render people jobless, but to use our resources in more optimal way and we will strive hard to use our people for more quality work.

I'd expect machine learning to both deal with the rote tasks of project administration (as Simon has indicated) but also to provide us with advice & guidance when facing scenarios similar to a subject matter expert...

"How it can help us deliver better results or manage the work in better way?" By doing things faster, more accurately, and without bias. AI will continue to supplement many professions including project management, until the day it is smart enough to take over many roles.

Unfortunatelly AI is a new buzzword. You are sorrounded of devices (software and non-software devices) based on AI from 1986 up to date. That includes some tools, free tools too, that some people are using to perform project management activities. So, as in other type of things, do not worry about AI except when you have been assigned to an initiative to implement AI.

I believe that in future AI will be most helpful by removing risk in projects, whether that’s prediction for the project up front or removing risk in the execution.

Early on it will be as a second opinion that a PM can go to and ask an opinion. As AI becomes more mature, it may act as a full assistant for all to interact with - a SME pf silicon.
