Requirement of CQE certification for Project Managers

Quality Management is integral to Project Management. Is there a real benefit to undergo CQE certification from ASQ for Project Manager?

ASQ is a reputed organization, hence CQE certification should be value add. Please review the requirements for this certification, especially 'Candidates must have eight years of on-the-job experience in one or more of the areas of the Certified Quality Engineer Body of Knowledge.'
To me this sounds more like certification to do a full time quality engineer role (and not necessarily PM - Quality planning, monitor/ control kind of activities).
