There are many tasks that require us to be face to face and in the office. But if you had the choice (backed up by the technology), what percentage could you work at home / office and still be effective? 20/80?

I can 100% work remotely. I have an option also to work from home. But I prefer to work from office 100% as I get to interact /speak to people.

100% could be done from home. I have teams spread across Atlanta, Phoenix, and Bloomington, therefore, not a lot of face-to-face interaction.

I think in project management you can go 100% remote as long as you have the right tools for virtual conferencing. I am doing this for 6 years now without any major issues. I personally think remote workers outperform onsite workers because of the silent, distraction free environment at home, but they need to compromise somewhat on social interactions being work at home all the time.

I can do 95% of my job remotely 5% of the time I have a face to face with my Vendors.

I'm encouraged to see that some can and do work remotely for such a large percentage of time.

I work 100% remotely and have successfully managed large Agile and waterfall projects. Several of those projects were large multimillion dollar projects with many teams. As we all know, communication is the key to PM success. You have to do that well, no matter where you are.
I have even been hired over a pnone call, with no F2F interview, a few times.
Remote Isn’t for everyone, but it works well for me.
