I am talking about the whole marriage, not the event of the wedding.

Neither. It is much more than either a project or an operation.

It is a portfolio consisting of several programs and projects.

I do align with Dinah.

It rather consists of several programs, projects and operations having their own life cycles and phase closeouts.

On the other hand; It has more of a tendency to resemble a weak matrix system if you consider the positions of the husband , wife and siblings in their respective spheres of contribution in the family.

After marriage we have to deal with several projects and programs, so I concur with Dinah on this.

Who is the project manager in this? Or maybe it is Scrum and one takes the role of PO and the other SM, with both sharing Dev team duties? Removing the impediment of taking kids to soccer(or football if you prefer) practice so the other can get to work on time.

Nice question.

If you deeply think about it (it may become a unique project), no matter about the duration of it, however it outcome a unique pattern of life.
It might this project of mirage is failed by divorce, isn't it?

It's a pretty interesting question. I'd say it's a program whose projects spawn many supprograms and operational tasks.

Portfolio as there's not a single overarching initiative as there would be with a program, but rather a need to maximize our investment overall...

My favorite project management joke goes like this ... How does a project manager propose to his girlfriend? He gives her a ring and an SOW.
