You can apply/use any of them, however suitable selection methodology to be followed. Change Management should be essential component when you transitioning from one to another

I made an attempt to summarize multiple flavors of agile, and waterfall, across multiple blog posts. Start here and work your way forward:

I also tried to provide references so that you can go to the source for more detailed information.

For a quick, easy to read, yet thorough explanation of Scrum, I highly recommend the book Scrum: The Art of Doing Twice the Work in Half the Time, by Jeff Sutherland, one of the creators of Scrum.

I am waiting for Sergio to chime in and say: Agile is not a Methodology ? Sergio: Where are you ?

The answer for this question could take pages but in summary:

1- Waterfall can be used alone or in conjunction with the others as hybrid model to manage Predictable projects with clear upfront requirements.

2- Scrum, Agile, Kanban are used for projects that are complex with changing requirements and no upfront clear info such like knowledge work projects.
I was scrolling down too! Now that Sergio is here, I review the answers...lol
